I chose this piece of work to use as an example to explain methods that i have used in my own work but also as this person has used in their own work. On phtotoshop the white pictures in the background have had the tones and exposure changed to give this effect, the yellow flower has been layered on the top and changed the opacity to make it stand out and the butterfly has been made black by using threshold.
This links to my work has i have changed exposure and colour in my photo's then layered them n top of each other to create a more detailed look.
Takashi Okada
This is a piece of Takashi Okada's work, 'Crow'. I chose to look at his work as it is graphic designs which is what i am studying in my lesson. I think this could have been done on photo shop because the picture looks like three simples layers.
The first layer would be the plain background grey colour, the second would be the splat of black ink, which could have been scanned and inserted into the picture from real life. The third layer would be the crow.
I really like this picture because it is very expressive and bold. The colours are minimal such as black, white and grey.

Coast
These are my bookmarks, i stared with a template then chose my images and manipulated them. I then layered the images over the top of my template and cut off the excess. The middle one is my favourite because i like the orange and yellow next to the dark blues and blacks, also the image looks abstract in a way because of how enlarged the image is.
The chain image is my least favourite is the chain image, i haven't manipulated this image but i like the contrast between he rusty chain and the blue of the shells.

I really like these old luggage tags, the worn string gives an aged effect. The writing looks as if it has been done on a type writer which also adds to the effect. The shape of the tag is very straight and angular. I like the simple box shape.
